Mp3 faq - POP at the very beginning of the song

My MP3s sound good except there is a little POP at the very beginning of the song. What can I do about that?

First of all listen to the file a couple times. Sometimes your MP3 player will make a sound that isn't necessarily in your MP3. If the pop is really there, you can either remake the file or try and remove it without causing more damage. There are a couple of software options, most notably MPTrim and MP3DirectCut.
